Eurostep announces the release of
Share-A-space® 6.0

Updated and new functionality in version 6.0:

• General
  - New object types
  In Share-A-space® 6.0 we introduce new object types emphasizing that Share-A-space® is the one system handling information across the full product life cycle - from cradle to grave.
  + Requirements - including requirement hierarchies, property based requirements, tracing relationships to other requirements and linkage to documents, parts, individuals, etc.
  + Breakdowns - tailored breakdowns according to the PLCS terminology for representing physical-, functional-, system- and zonal breakdowns.
  - New user interface
  In line with the new Share-A-space® graphical profile, the user interface has got a new look.
  
  
• Security
  - Password complexity requirements
  Share-A-space® now includes the option of requiring user passwords to meet complexity requirements of minimum length, and inclusion of numbers and special characters.
  - Maximum password age
  The users´ passwords can now be set to expire in a certain number of days after the user last changed his/her password.
  - Tool for encrypting previously unencrypted passwords
  The Share-A-space® installation now includes a tool to encrypt previously unencrypted passwords in the database.
  
  
• Techie
  - Share-A-space® 6.0 is certified for Windows Server 2008 ensuring system stability. Windows Server 2003 is also still supported.
  - Share-A-space® is now available in both 32- and 64-bit versions. The 64-bit version makes better use of today´s modern processor architecture.
  - Version 6.0 of Share-A-space® uses the Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.5 adopting new technology such as the Language Integrated Query (LINQ).
  - One consolidated management tool is now available to manage most of the regular administrative tasks in a Share-A-space® installation. The Server Manager is used to create new projects, edit settings, install mappers etc.
  - The installer is completely rewritten and is now making use of the msi technology.

  - Support for Maintenance and Breakdown management
  - Full support for Requirements management
  - Support for Windows Communication Foundation
